LAULAU SONGDRAWING LEVEL I TRAINING

Laulau Songdrawing Method, Level I training is an inspiring and experiential journey into the creative world of Songdrawing and learning through arts. In the training you will gain a good insight into the Laulau® Songdrawing Method, its basic elements and work approaches, as well as its versatile song and lesson material as support for children’s cross-curricular learning, interaction, and inclusion.

The training builds confidence, courage and joyful creative engagement in singing, drawing, and using this creative method to support children’s holistic growth and development. It gives participants a good foundation for using and applying Songdrawing with children of different ages and across a wide range of learning areas. During the training, the method is explored in an active, hands-on way through singing, drawing, playing, moving, sharing and creating together.

LAULAU SONGDRAWING LEVEL III TRAINING

Laulau Songdrawing Method, Level III builds on Levels I and II and combines Songdrawing approaches with Laulau Social-Emotional ArtPlay pedagogy into a structured social-emotional learning program. The training deepens participants’ understanding of how music and the arts can support children’s emotional expression, interaction skills and social-emotional development. It also encourages adults’ own self-expression and strengthens their readiness to use arts-based tools in a sensitive and purposeful way. Participants become familiar with the Lesson Library and the SEL learning process, and gain support for planning and implementing a goal-oriented SEL project with children of different ages.

LAULAU SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL ARTPLAY

Laulau® Social-Emotional ArtPlay training introduces participants to the basic ideas, activities and pedagogical possibilities of the approach in a variety of educational contexts. Through specially composed instrumental music, movement, musical and visual expression, creative play and discussion, participants explore how music and arts can support emotional learning, creative interaction, and self-expression. Little PianoPal accompanies the journey as a gentle and imaginative guide into different emotions, stories and inner landscapes.

Rich in creativity and experiential learning, the training strengthens participants’ readiness to use art-based tools in a sensitive, inclusive and purposeful way. Rather than following a fixed lesson curriculum, the activities and ideas can be applied flexibly in different contexts and learning situations. The training encourages participants’ own self-expression and supports the creation of empowering learning environments where different ideas, perspectives and ways of expression are welcomed and valued.

ALL DAY SONG!

Laulau® All Day Song! is a training that supports the versatile use of song and music as part of everyday pedagogy in early childhood education and school settings. It explores how music can function not only as a subject of learning itself, but also as a creative and effective tool for cross-curricular learning, communication, interaction and children’s active participation.

The training introduces participants to the basic elements of music, a wide range of musical working methods, and the planning of engaging and experiential musical sessions. With the support of inspiring and versatile music content, participants gain practical tools for integrating music and song into everyday educational work in purposeful, joyful and pedagogically meaningful ways.

The training can also be tailored to the customer’s specific needs and goals. Special wishes and focus areas are taken into account in the planning of the training to ensure that the training responds as closely as possible to the customer’s particular aims and context.

LET’S PLAY TOGETHER! – MUSICAL
INSTRUMENTS AS COMMUNITY TOOLS

Do you have a piano in your classroom, which most of the time serves more as a material shelf than an instrument? Are the rhythm instruments hidden in a closet that is seldom open to the children? Or do you feel that it’s not possible to implement quality music education, because of lack of instruments? In the Let’s Play Together! training we will learn creative and easy-to-adapt work methods to increase music and instrumental playing as part of creative learning, storytelling and collaboration.

ARTISTIC ADVENTURE TO FINLAND AND THE FINNISH CULTURE

In this experiential training workshop, we take participants on an imaginative journey into Finnish nature and the four distinctive seasons of Finland. The workshop offers a glimpse into Finnish sauna culture, introduces some Finnish language through singing and rhyming, and explores key features of the Finnish education system and the idea of happiness in Finland. Finland has been ranked the world’s happiest country for nine consecutive years.

Participants also become familiar with Finnish music and music education, as well as Laulau’s inspiring creative methods, which are deeply inspired by Finnish nature and culture. The workshop also offers an opportunity to try the kantele, Finland’s national instrument, which in its five-string form is an excellent pedagogical instrument for young children.

This workshop can be organised, for example, as part of EduTour programmes in Finland, but it can equally well be offered in conferences, cultural encounters and training programmes in other local contexts. We value meaningful face-to-face encounters, but we also provide online training.
