]]> Laulau’s Minna really managed to convince me why and how music is a powerful pedagogical tool in EC and pre-primary education. Not just in music lessons, but in basicly everything we do. I feel quite insecure about music, so I’ve always delegated music lessons to my colleagues who are more confident in musical activities. In the Laulau training, however, I felt I found my inner musician in a whole new way. We even created a little song for transitions, which I have found very useful and successful during the past few weeks in my group. Music has really had a powerful and engaging effect on children.

]]> The material Active with ABC & 123 is really comprehensive and multidisciplinary. There are nice tips in the instruction book, but after trying a few of them, you can easily come up with different things you can use the play mats for. You can pick what you need from the play mats or create a whole play path from them. The mats can be used to learn letters, syllables, words or even sentences. In mathematics, number mats work great for addition, subtraction and multiplication. The material can be used among the whole class or in a smaller group. It can be used to build meaningful support lessons or differentiate both upwards and downwards during the lesson. With the material, you can add action and movement for lessons, little “action snacks” for book lessons, and PE lessons can be easily integrated into other learning. The material is easily available even when the fastest ones are already ready and something nice should be developed for them. I warmly recommend Laulau Learning Mats to every class that needs action-based and versatile learning material that is easy to use and apply.

]]> We’ve had Laulau Social-Emotional ArtPlay lessons once a week in my child group of 5-year-olds. The results have been absolutely amazing! I have admired, how much these wise little people have developed in the expression and understanding of emotions during this season. They recognize their own feelings and express them boldly. They already know, without being reminded, that we all feel differently and no feeling is wrong. These little ones also know how to discuss feelings with a friend and stop to listen to what the other one has to say. Parents have also given wonderful feedback about our emotional ArtPlay program.
